Architectural site

 Architectural site

First of all, architectural art is some kind of physical construction.

That is an important aspect of public life.

I also see a unique opportunity offered by architectural art that engages the whole

community in creativity.

For instance, Coliseum, Rome (Italy).

Coliseum is considered as one of the greatest

architectural feats achieved in ancient civilizations.

The passive construction practices of design and

shape have been the inspiration for many modern-day stadiums.

Coliseum built with reinforced concrete and stone.

I am fascinated by this work Santa muerte of Carlos Navarro. the artist tried to allow people to connect through the over-naturalist. It’s originally simple paint oil on canvas. I really like this work because it is explain that Santa muerte cannot save herself from death.

Reflection MCA

Reflection MCA

MCA is truly a great gallery. The artists perform independently.  They have such a worthwhile

exhibition. There are some beautiful artworks and some unique designs that are classified as

contemporary art. I would love to get another visit to seeing the installation of the banana peels. It is

not a fantastic artwork as well as plenty of room full of fine exhibits and some beautiful installations.

However as modern or contemporary art the banana peels is thoughtful or merely representational.

Artist Project II: Film: Life of an Artist

Artist Project II:
Film: Life of an Artist

The Girl with a Pearl
The girl with a pearl is a young beautiful servant that inspired a famous artist when he painted the girl oil on canvas. Before, there is no historical evidence between the painter and his family, his wife didn’t appreciate his artworks, but the servant was really appreciated. So the artist who was Johannes Vermeer began to teach the servant how to separate color and how to define color by the window when the sun comes through. As she loved Johannes Vermeer painting, Van Ruijven a friend of the artist asked Vermeer to paint the servant, the artist didn't hesitate and that was the end of the servant days to clean Vermeer's studio which his wife Catharina never entered.

I love this movie, it is a little slow but the actors are incredible, they transmit a lot of things without words. I watched this movie several times. I love the way the servant stays silent and never react to her mistress. Perhaps, I understanding the silences has a deep meaning and how words are not always needed to argue.  You should see that movie!

Blog # 9 Poem

Little Harbor in Normandy.

Georges Braque
French, 1882-1963
Little Harbor in Normandy

Braque was mobilized for world war 1. He described channel coast in severe geometries and a  palette. He reduced the intensity to pales shades of color. Braque added a fringe of whitecaps to the sea and dashes of clouds across the sky, the two sailboats forward to the front edges of the picture propel  the first major Cubist work to be shown in such a prominent venue.

It was a mess. Extravagant, scary. Miserable, roughly. Imagination, creativity, mystery. and it is also brilliantly, simple. Dark, complicated. It was an illusion of world war 2 destruction. Little Harbor in Normandy.

Blog # 9 AIC

      Blog # 9

We went to AIC and saw some beautiful oil painting and we saw some famous artworks of Vincent Van Gogh exhibit Starry Night over the Rhone and Sunflowers. We were so happy to take some pictures of some impressionist, modern, sculpture artworks. Yes it's indeed, AIC is a great museum there is something for everyone.

It should take me several visits to completely satisfied with AIC exhibition.  Three is so much to see and couple things to learn about, some unforgettable artists and sculptors. I am enjoyed to make a poem on Georges Braque painting. "Little Habor in Normandy". I was delighted to see how Georges Braque had used color in this oil painting. The subject matter in this draw is the representational of rebuilding all the destructions of World War 1.

Blog # 6 Hey you exhibition

Blog # 6

We visited also the hey you exhibition featuring 50 different artists from Chicago.
There is a lot of attractions in this piece of art. People joined all over Chicago to express their feelings. I think this art could be the most exhibition in mural movement in MX college door of Eugene Eda. I really love this art, because red is my favorite color, also I love when art looks very simple. Does art need to be extravagant?

Blog 3 Color

Where the spirit does not work with hand there is no art. Leonardo Da Vinci
